A great event I've been to 4years running now and would normally give it 5 stars. However, they changed the venue this year, I only looked for directions on the morning, so we were late arriving, this should've been more prominent in the publicity. I hope the traffic control is better next time, because the jam to get in was ridiculous!

This year’s 2025 Yorkshire Wartime Experience marked the first for us at its new location after moving from the previous site in Bradford. While the overall experience was still enjoyable, the transition has brought a few noticeable changes. Compared to the Bradford setup, this new venue felt quite spread out, which made it harder to get a cohesive feel of the event. One downside of this was that it seemed like there were fewer military vehicles on display – though it’s likely they were simply more dispersed around the site. Hopefully, with some adjustments, future events will make better use of the space. That said, there were definitely positives. The event staff were friendly and, importantly on a hot day, they were supplying drinking water – a much-appreciated touch. The variety of displays and reenactments remained engaging, and the atmosphere was still warm and welcoming. One minor issue was the bar area being overrun with wasps. While not something the organisers can fully control, it was a little off-putting and may be worth addressing in future planning. All in all, a good experience with room to grow. As this was the first year at the new location, it's understandable that there may be teething issues – and there's definitely potential for improvement in the years ahead.

Was a good day out, hadn't paid in advance unfortunately but that was on our end. Was able to get in early due to the staff not wanting a massive queue to form. Various stalls selling memorabilia to de-activated weapons at good prices. Stall members were helpful in regards to finding certain pieces. No complaints about displays, though commentator did get political on several occasions over the tanoy. Mainly stating that Israel was massacring in Palestine and several direct insults & critisisms towards the current government and Ukraine. Being openly annoyed at the start of the day that people were let into the event early and the fitst display starting early also. After learning from some re-enactors, the event was organised mainly at short notice being held on a family farm. With some only given a few weeks notice to make arrangements. Terrain not exactly forgiving to those in wheelchairs or medical conditions. Staff did corden off some areas to allot vehicles to pass through, though were not the kindest to those who accidentally walked through. Some curses were thrown which left a sour taste. Parking was done by local volunteers, although there was suaves of space for parking. The road to the event was either narrow through villages or one way farm paths, no signage either. Food was a bit expensive but it was a large event which was understandable. Not a bad day out, though does need a bit more time for planning and less personal opinions from staff. (And yes I did get a photo of when the Universal Carrier almost ran over a guy, you're welcome to whoever was driving.)

Absolutely loved this and will be back again next year! Only thing that let us down abit which I won't be taking any stars off for is a slight problem with the WiFi for card machines which meant we couldn't buy as much stuff as wanted too, I'd put it down to a teething problem as it was a new venue to usual but I'd recommend to anyone and their families

Well you certainly won't be disappointed . Its amazing ,with all the history of the machinery. Speaking to the owners that can't wait to tell you the history of their equipment. They all go above and beyond to help and the venue will only get better . We will be there next year.

Only delivering services but still a good experience to see tanks etc. close up and watch them being manoeuvre, great set up

It was well organised. Plenty to see and do. Shows in the main area and static displays with plenty of stalls and food

The best day out me and my family have had EVER. It was absolutely fantastic. My children learned so much (much more than they would in the classroom). The people were amazing and so helpful with my boys and it was nice of them to share their stories and knowledge too. Yes, it was chaos getting out, but that is what happens at these events. People need to remember they have just been to an event where people, vehicles and weapons have been used for us to be able to be here today, waiting in a car for half an hour is nothing. I would recommend buying your tickets before you go and you get in so much quicker. Food was well over priced- £6 for an ice-cream.

Yorkshire Wartime experience 2025 is good. 400 wartime vehicles show and wartime enactment. A nice day out with your friend and family.

Really enjoyed my visit here. It was my first time, but definitely won't be the last. We visited on Friday, which was listed as a quiet day without pyrotechnics and mock battles. I'd have preferred to come on the noisy days, but other commitments meant I couldn't. I wasn't disappointed though. The lack of action in the arena meant plenty of time to make the most of the stalls and reenactment camps. All of the actors were very friendly, and knowledgeable. Many allowed us to handle the weapons while we were informed about them. The icing on the cake was a couple of vehicles performed an engine check in the arena, so we got to see tanks moving after all! We'll be back for the noisy day next year. Only one suggestion for the team organising, a little more signage on the routes in would be good.
